It simply protects you from attacks. It is your personal choice if you are to hear their opinion or not. There have not been many, but there are a couple of folks on SU that I have chosen to ignore. Mainly because their statements are inflamitory, not because I disagree with their opinion.
If someone demonstrates a pattern of trying to piss people off, I will probably ignore them. Those of you that have been on SU awhile, I am sure can think of at least one person that fits this bill.....hell, maybe it's me!! :-) |
